Our Story
Agni Kitchen 2 California began with a craving—not just for food, but for a feeling. One evening, far from the hills of Nepal, the aroma of a simple dumpling stirred something deep—a memory of home, of family kitchens filled with laughter, of spices dancing in the air. That spark lit a fire in us to create something more than a restaurant. We wanted to build a place where the flavors we grew up with—rich, bold, and full of love—could bring people together, no matter where they were from.
Our roots are in Nepal, and you’ll taste that in our signature momos—hand-folded dumplings filled with seasoned meats or vegetables, served steamed, fried, or in jhol (spiced broth) just like you’d find in the streets of Kathmandu. But our story doesn’t stop there. As our menu grew, so did our inspiration—from the aromatic biryanis of Hyderabad to the creamy curries of North India, the comforting saag, paneer, vindaloo, and tikka masalas that have long brought people together across South Asia. These dishes, like our momos, are made from scratch with care, tradition, and Himalayan soul.
